Privacy Policy

Last updated July 13, 2026

Borealis Propulsion Lab Inc., doing business as Borealis Manufacturing ("BPL," "we," "us," or "our"), operates the website borealispropulsion.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It also applies if you reach the Site through one of our other domains, such as borealismfg.com or borealismanufacturing.com, which redirect here.

We are based in British Columbia, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. If you contact us from outside Canada, please be aware that your information will be processed in Canada and the United States, where our service providers operate.

Questions or concerns? Email us at contact@borealispropulsion.com. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, plus limited, non-identifying technical data needed to run the Site.

Information you provide

When you use our contact or manufacturing inquiry forms, or email us directly, we collect what you send, which may include:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Company or organization (optional)
  • The nature of your inquiry, project details, timelines, and any message you send
  • Files you attach, such as drawings, CAD files, or reference photos

We do not ask for, and request that you do not send, sensitive information such as government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or health information.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host and analytics record limited technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, approximate region, and the pages you view. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that reports aggregated, anonymized visit data. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site sets no cookies of its own, and we do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless. Because we do not use cookies to track you, we do not display a cookie consent banner. We do not track you across third-party websites, so we do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes and estimates
  • Provide and follow up on the machining, fabrication, and related services you ask about
  • Communicate with you about your project or request
  • Maintain the security and proper operation of the Site
  • Keep reasonable business records and comply with our legal obligations
  • Understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We rely on your consent to process the information you send us. Submitting a form or emailing us is your express consent for us to use that information to respond to you. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your Privacy Rights below). We may also process information where the law requires or permits it, for example for security and fraud prevention, to establish or defend legal claims, or to meet a legal obligation.

4. When and With Whom We Share Information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the Site and respond to you, and only as needed:

  • Vercel Inc.: website hosting and cookieless analytics.
  • Formspree, Inc.: receives and delivers your form submissions, including any attached files, to our inbox.
  • Google (Google Fonts): serves the fonts used on the Site. Loading them sends a request to Google that includes your IP address.
  • Mapping (About page only): the location maps use the Leaflet library (served via the unpkg CDN) and map imagery from CARTO. Loading these sends requests that include your IP address.
  • Business transfers: if BPL is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction and will remain subject to this policy.

Some of these providers are located in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Canada. We may also disclose information if required by law, or where necessary to establish or protect our legal rights, safety, or property.

5. How Long We Keep It

We keep inquiry and quote information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business and tax records, after which we delete or anonymize it. Aggregated analytics data is retained by our analytics provider on a rolling basis.

6. How We Keep It Safe

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, and form submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law, you may:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need
  • Withdraw your consent to our use of your information, though this may limit our ability to respond to you

To exercise any of these, email contact@borealispropulsion.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed, and material changes will be posted on this page.
